You can request deletion of your Neckly account and its associated personal data by contacting Dalkir Studio, the developer of Neckly. You do not need to install the app or sign in to submit a request.

Request account deletion by email

How do I request deletion without the app?

Send your request to [email protected]. The link above opens a draft in your email app; you must send the email to submit your request. If the link does not open, use the address and instructions below in any email service.

  1. Use the subject Neckly account deletion request.
  2. State that you want your Neckly account and its associated personal data deleted.
  3. Include the email address linked to your Neckly account and your sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email). Send the request from that address if you can.
  4. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deletion. If you no longer have access to that email, explain this in your request so we can help you verify ownership another way.

If you used Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email, include your Apple private relay address if you know it. Do not send your password, verification codes, payment card details, or health information.

How do I delete my account in the app?

If you still have access to Neckly, you can delete your account directly in the app. Open Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm. Successful in-app deletion removes your account and its associated data from our active database immediately.

Deleting the app from your device, signing out, or resetting local progress does not delete your online account. Account deletion is permanent; your previous progress cannot be restored by signing in again.

Which data is deleted?

Account deletion covers your Neckly sign-in account and the personal data associated with it, including the following information where present:

  • Your account identifier, name, email address, and linked sign-in information.
  • Your profile, onboarding answers, goals, body measurements, symptoms, and preferences.
  • Exercise and session history, pain logs, daily check-ins, session feedback, and Neck Score history.
  • Synced progress, streaks, challenges, reminder settings, push notification tokens, and account-linked chatbot usage records.
  • The subscription status linked to your account in Neckly's database; store purchase records are addressed below.

Deleting your Neckly account does not delete your Apple or Google account. Copies stored locally on another device can be removed by clearing Neckly's app data or uninstalling the app on that device.

When is deletion completed, and what may be retained?

For an email request, we first verify account ownership, process the deletion, and email you when it is complete. If verification or a retention requirement affects your request, we will explain this in our reply. In-app deletion completes when the app confirms success.

  • Account, profile, and activity data in our active database: deleted when the account deletion is completed, with no additional retention period in that database.
  • Purchase and billing records: Apple, Google, and subscription service providers handle these separately under their own policies. Account deletion does not erase a store's purchase history. Limited records may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes for the applicable required period, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Deletion request emails and any other retained records: you can include these in your personal data deletion request. If any records must be retained, we will identify the data, reason, and applicable retention period in our response.

What happens to my subscription?

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop future renewals, also cancel it in Google Play subscriptions or Apple subscriptions, using the store account you purchased with. You can request account deletion even if your subscription is still active.
