This Privacy Policy explains how Dalkir Studio ("we", "us", "our"), an individual developer based in Türkiye, collects, uses and protects information when you use the Neckly app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
- Onboarding answers — goal, age, gender, height/weight, phone/computer screen-time ranges, neck pain level and timing, exercise background, and any symptoms or focus areas you select. These are used to build your personalized program and Neck Score, and are never used to make your program harder or easier based on age.
- Account information — depending on how you sign in: an anonymous device-linked ID, or your name/email if you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Support communications — anything you send us directly, e.g. by email.
b) Information collected automatically
- Usage & activity data — completed exercises, streaks, check-ins, session duration, feature usage and in-app events, used to power your Neck Score and program personalization, and to understand how the app is used in aggregate.
- Device & push data — device type, OS, language, timezone, and (if you enable notifications) a push notification token.
We do not collect location data, contacts, or photos, and Neckly contains no advertising and no ad-tracking SDKs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To build and continuously personalize your daily program and Neck Score.
- To operate core features: streaks, challenges, check-ins, widgets and notifications.
- To send reminder notifications you have enabled (you can disable these at any time in Settings).
- To process subscriptions and restore purchases.
- To maintain, secure and improve the Service, and to respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health-adjacent onboarding answers (pain level, symptoms, etc.) for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate Neckly, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, authentication and backend hosting for your profile and activity data.
- RevenueCat — manages and validates in-app subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Apple / Google — app distribution, sign-in, and push notification delivery.
These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, and access-controlled via row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from within the app, your profile and associated onboarding/activity data are deleted from our systems, except where we are required to retain limited records (e.g. billing records) for legal or accounting purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR for EU/UK users and KVKK for Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and data directly from the app's Settings, or contact us at [email protected] for any other request.
7. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where this involves a transfer outside your region, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data.
8. Children's Privacy
Neckly is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
